So I'm sitting in O'Hair Airport after a crazy night on the town with the crew. Am I ready to leave?
So now it's time to reflect on all that's happened over the course of these 3 (or is it 4 days?) while being here in Chi-town. My last night here I was able to enjoy the company of over 15 crew members and a good chunk of actors here in Chicago while we were at the isolated middle-of-no-where location that we were shooting at. At first glance, no I'm not ready to leave. I didn't get to do as much sight seeing as I had hoped; however, the crew I was with was amazingly professional, super talented, and I want to make more movies with them. I am so excited to see how the final product turns out. I made some friends, had a great hot dog, and know some of the cool places to be in Gary, Indiana. But with a second take--yes, I am ready to come home and move forward onto more projects. I also am glad to be leaving on a high note with everyone rather than overstay my welcome.
A really big shout out goes to Evan, Alex, Eric, Rose, Jess, Chris, Shawn, and all the others (who I may not have remembered your name, but trust me--if i saw you again, I'd remember you on the spot!). These were the most professional crew people I've worked with on a student project. Now that's saying a lot. If there were complaints happening, I didn't see it affect any aspect of the production. If there were mis-communications, it was cleared up before it affected the production. The whole thing was shot on 35mm film and Shawn is amazing with how he worked the camera. They all understood that they were working to complete the vision of the story, and each of them gave their best to allow the production of it to come out great. Simply put, these guys are the greatest.
