Mantras that are now in awareness..

So over the past couple days, I've been busy working on my Romantic Comedy outline (soon to be script! YAY!); I've been working on the film I'm directing; and keeping up with everything else the best I can--including yoga!

I watched my favorite channel: www.virtualchannelnetwork.com. I usually love the content they have on there. They have a channel for the Coaching corner which is pretty, insightful, to say the least. This week's episode was about the script but before he began, he said something very heartfelt:

"Why wait till the new year to make a resolution, why not make one everyday"

Now, if you're a loyal follower, I have put this to work many times. I may not do something everyday to the depth I desire, but every day I do something--even from reading a script or thinking about a monologue, or researching into more information on how to market myself stronger. Now it's just a matter of continuing that and absolutely going every day as deep as i desire, no matter what obstacles are in the way.

The other mantra that has been buzzing around in my head is from my amazing Dallas Travers who I've mentioned before. Her heartfelt thing that's touched me is:

"How you do something in one aspect of your life is a reflection of how you do everything in your life."

So true, so true. Because if I don't push myself in Yoga because no body does, I don't push myself in the audition to go for it. If I put something off, I feel it's okay to put something off in my acting (i.e. reading Kim Stanley's biography. So it falls on a couple of aspects: personal accountability, mind management, and time. Simple Simple stuff.

That's my reflection for today. I did go to an audition on Sunday. I did well, I think. I have new headshots set up for next week. I'm working on those scripts I mentioned earlier. I video taped sides I got from ShowFax (that was cool! ;D) and I've been reading more about this NLP work. I have my Vision board laid out (I'm waiting to get Dallas Traver's book since it references a specific way to glue things down). I've watched the nmfilm.com website for upcoming things. AND! All the above were things I've done in the past 4 days of 2010. Wow!!!

I'm gonna be rockin and rollin in some good acting gigs real soon! Just gotta keep it up! I can do it I can do it I can do it I can do it I can do it I believe in me I believe in me!

WOOOOOOOO!

"Why not have a new years resolution...everyday? That if you woke up each morning and said, "Got a new resolution today, I'm gonna do marketing, I'm gonna send out headshots, I'm gonna work harder in my workshop, know my dialogue, I'm gonna be prepared; but I'm going to do something today for my career how's that for a... resolution?"
