Reality of hardwork... but to see the great payoff, wonderful!

Sorry my faithful readers, I didn't blog last night. I, in fact, was with my Comedian "dad" writing new jokes for the Game show. It was interesting since I got to see first hand how he comes up with jokes and his method for cue cards. He kept reminding me that when I get to LA, I'm not only competing with people that have natural talent, but that DON'T take they're talent for Granted. The awesome thing is he's worked with the likes of George Lopez, Drew Carey, Kevin Costner, and the guy who played Kramer. He's done big gigs like Vegas comedy shows to tours (He's even been in Colorado for a couple gigs!). So he's a bit of an inspiration to me.

He's been talking about how he really doesn't have a lot, but he has experiences and memories that no one can take away. And that's kinda what I'd prefer. I'm not into the materialistic anymore, that got ruined when I was at Visa and after My Ex-high-school-sweetheart. To me, life is more about how I can give to another person to be powerful, be above playing the victim and not allowing circumstances or obstacles get in the way. I want to make an impression, a difference. And that would mean so much more to me than any Ferrari, any mansion, any amount of money. He's kinda beaten down now because he's just never been given the perfect break. But he owned the fancy stuff (His parents owned a famous furniture chain in Montreal) and he found it didn't bring him happiness so that's why at 30, he decided to go for his career as a Comedian. He's made pretty good money at it, and he's pretty successful still in my opinion (getting 500$ a gig). But he told me stories of when he was just starting out and how it was for him in California. He's also told me stories about how he never had kids because his career became much more than he anticipated and so that's why he's adopted me as his "daughter."

Other than that, we went and gave our cue card stuff to the producer. They had home made Spaghetti waiting! It was amazingly good! I loved the garlic bread. Then after I came back home I kinda flipped out because I needed to get another suit since all I've got is all black and all my co-host has is grays and browns. So I went and got a gray-ish brown colored suit. Hopefully between everything I've got and he's got we'll get a good mix. The lady at Dillard's was so nice and helped me pick out some things and pointed out some ways to accent everything and how to create a perfect look. She gave me her card so that way I can get back to her in case I need anything.

Then I came home. After being gone for a while. And now I'm sitting in my pj's, texting my crush about the excitement of tomorrow. I should head to bed soon so that way I can be ready for tomorrow, but before that: Focus on the Positive! We'll do 45 for the past 48 hrs...... here we go.....
