30 day review....

It dawned on me that I've been here and it's been about 30 days since my very first audition since I moved down here. So what have I learned? Well, in that 30 days I :
  • I've had 3 auditions
  • Of that, I booked a TV Game Show that is a Reoccurring thing
  • I have a modeling gig that's paid.
  • I have a stand-up comedy gig on the day after Xmas.
  • I've attended 2 workshops by casting directors
  • I've been recommended to an agency via Casting Director
  • Met a really good actress that'll be an asset
  • Met a really good stand-up comedian (a.k.a my adopted dad)
  • Made a good connection with an up-and-coming actor, he's so crushing on me it's funny
  • Jeanie's moving to LA, But that's a good thing!
  • I have majorly improved my body via yoga
  • I've made some friends
  • I've been keeping to my regimen: breaking down scripts that I have available
  • I've been keeping up on my reading
  • I've been inspired by those I'm working with and seen work
That's 1 thing for every 2 days. Not bad, actually! That's better than I thought I would do. This came about after I replied on CASA's social boards where a girl was wondering how the NM market was. But then I realized after I replied to her, that none of this would've been possible without my great determination and belief that this was a better place to be than Denver. It is beyond my self-belief: there's more opportunities, it's more widely accepted to be an actor, the teachers are stronger, and even though the talent pool is larger I've found a positive focus that doesn't make that an obstacle. I've also made many personal leaps in growth that help with my transformation.

I saw the movie Invictus with Morgan Freeman and Matt Dillion, talk about many inspritations! It's about Nelson Mandela and his way of bringing a country together through rugby. It really affected me because as I posted earlier, I really want to change the world for the better. And watchign how Freeman portrayed Mandela's actions and thoughts was amazing. I really hope I can have that stregnth.

Well... i'll write more tomorrow, i'm really dying here with it being so late. I will write more... until then...
